Mrs. Tammy hill

Hello, my name is Mrs. Tammy. It is a pleasure to share with you who I am. I started my journey in childcare in 1994 in San Bernadino, CA; It was a means to care for my daughter who suffered from asthma during her elementary school years. I really didn’t trust anyone to care for my daughter; she required a lot with her medication and breathing treatments. One day I went to a donut shop and overheard two mothers expressing despair in looking for someone they can trust to watch their children. It was there that the thought of being a home daycare provider came into existence. 

I have been a large family childcare provider for 28+ years and I can say it has been a true blessing to love the children and families that have been through my doors. When I initial started in the 90s, my goal for my daycare was to provide a safe and loving environment for the children to thrive in while their parents worked. As I grew and made permanent residence in Lakewood, CA in 1999, I turned my attention to educating my 3, 4, & 5 year olds that were in my care. I saw the need for early introduction of letters and numbers to give the children in my care a head start for Kindergarten. In 2004 I attended a seminar that talked about preschool centers and how to start one; it was there that the desire to operate a preschool came to be. In 2012, I officially hired my daughter to join me in my desire and the rest is history. 

My Sucess has been the children I have cared for, returning to me in their 20s or 30s to say to me thank you so much for all you did for me and when I have children, they will be coming to you. That right there makes me proud of what I have done out of my home for those 28+ years. Now my sights are set on our Preschool Center to bring our Large Family Home Daycare Philosophy to a whole new level.
